I just rode the new 300ex I bought saturday night. It is so awesome. I am only 13 years old and me and my bro were riding it all day. I was a little scared at first but I got the hang of it. It is so much fun. I am getting Dg nerf bars tommorow.

Sweet! I got my 300ex for Christmas, just rode it on the dirt for the first time today... too much snow around here How did you like it? I am still getting used to the manual clutch... yuck.
Have you checked out www.exriders.com yet? Great site if you ever need any help on your mods, or just someone to talk to. Later.

Well guys, I took the atv safety course yesterday.
The instructor suggested I sell the 300ex and buy something with an automatic clutch. I say, I do agree with him. I am having such a difficult time adjusting to a manual. I rode it all day yesterday and still haven't got it right, and my left hand is killing me. I have decided that I am not as brave as my husband thinks I am, and I am going to sell the 300ex and buy the 250ex. I am just a trail rider, and I want to have fun, not work hard. Hope you get the shifting down better than I did. Anyone know of anyone looking for a 2001 300ex to buy, or trade for a 250ex, let me know. lilred300ex@yahoo.com

lilred-Sorry to hear that. I know you spent a lot of time deciding on the 300. The 250 is suspended pretty tight, so don't expect as plush a ride. Good luck!!

The 300 is a great bike. I've put alot of hard hours on mine and everything that's broke so far has been my own fault. Have fun.

can't adjust to the manual clutch?

It takes time, when i was 12 i learned it on a 2-stroke dirt bike, my hand hurt i complained..but now i'll never go to an auto clutch!

I think you should stick it out longer..just work at it. get one of those hand exercisors!
