are the works shocks for 200-240lbs. a lot stiffer than for 160-190lbs. ?
i'm going to order a set from dennis kirk but all they have is the 200-240lb. shock. would the 250R shock work with the 400EX even though it's shorter?

I'd just get the ones for your bike, set up to your weight.

I ordered mine from shoc connection set to my weight, riding style, even set for my offset wheels.

if you go to shocconnection.com get their phone number and talk to them. they have all models of works, and will set them up to your specs.

my dual rate steelers cost me $350 shipped to my door with a set of shockwears.

I agree with getting the ones for your bike, not another. But I will disagree with getting them from the s@#k connection. They were rude, and acted like they didn't want my business when I called.

I had no problem with them, they were nice to me.

if you don't want to deal with shoc connection then get them from works directly. worksperformance.com get a phone number and talk to them. they should be able to set the shocks up properly.
