reversing the front wheels gives you a wider more stable stance.... less tippy!

and it is a pain in the !@#$

drill new plug holes, reverse the old plugs, reverse the steel lug nut inserts and use washers to compensate for the conical shape the inserts have... blah blah blah

but it works


I think the 250EX is the best "trail" quad there is... If I bought one, I'd personally buy offset rims & 21" tires for the front; and put 20"x10" 400EX tires on the rear.... this would lower the center of gravity for the whole quad buy an inch, give it a wider front stance, and the flatter rear tires would let it slide a little more instead of sidewall-rolling on the stock round tires... all of this would drastically improve the handling and stability of the 250EX... as far as performance goes... real soon everybody will have a pipe for it, but it's gonna make it loud... just leave it stock, put a K&N airfilter and a slightly larger size main jet and call it a day.

 

where have you heard you can get a K&N for the 250ex? Do you have a web-site that I can look at?- or even a 800 number?

I like the idea of swapping out the 400ex tires to the 250ex- I've thought about doing that since I have both machines.
