Help!!My wife wants a quad that is manual, faster than my buddies warrior, but easier to ride than my shee.I was thinking the 300EX should beat a stock warrior. If not be easily modded to.What is your opinions?I'm not looking for pro-honda or pro-yamaha answers just a decent machine to fit the need.

The 300ex sounds like the perfect quad. It will not beat the warrior in a drag race, but the handling of the 300ex is far superior.

Put a pipe, filter, piston and cam and youll have more then enough to beat a warrior.

I used to have a Warrior that would beat my friend's 300EX pretty easily in every type of race. It all depends on the rider. Yeah, you can make a 300EX beat a Warrior, you can even make it beat a Banshee...like the old saying goes, speed is money, how fast do you want to go? If she doesn't mind not having reverse, get her a 400EX. You would not need to do any engine mods that might sacrifice reliability, and besides the yellow 400EX looks wild.

I bought my wife a new 300EX about the same time I bought my 250R. After about 3 years of the EX, she started taking rides on my R. After about another year she wouldn't even get on the EX, she just kinda took over my R! So, I bought her an R and got rid of the EX.
So, since you already have a Shee, and understand 2-strokes, get her an R. Light, great handling, etc. She'll probably love it.
How many things we will do just so when we turn out the lights the little lady does NOT have a "headache," ya know what I mean?

300EX will not beat a stock Warrior , I agree it will handle better but not that much. Two riders of equal ability on each machine and it would be pretty close but the edge would always go the Yamaha. If beating a Warrior is a must get a 400EX.
