I want to buy an exhaust for my 2001 300ex. I just want to know if that is considered an engine mod. Cause I know any engine mods void the warranty. I dont think A pipe is an engine mod but I need someone elses opinion. Thanks

If the dealer my brother bought his 400EX is right then external mods are ok. Just dont put a piston or cam in it. Pipe, air filter and jet kit those are supposed to be alright.

What I was told (not from a dealer) is that if you buy a pipe and you change things in the carb (like main jet, pilot ect.. That it will void your warranty. But, Honda is so damn reliable and you get only a 6mon warranty??? Your chances of something really bad happening are very slim. Unless you get someone that doesn't know what there doing and somehow really frigs it up!!!
I wouldn't really worry about, if you want a pipe then get it and makes sure that whoever does the jetting that they know what there doing!!! Good luck!!

just wait untill your 6 months are up, the warentee is just to make sure that everything is put together right. i would hate to get a slip on, and have a front bearing fail, only to have to replace it my self.
