My 426EX beats piped Banshees. It just depends on your gearing. I ride only in sand, and I run 13/39 gears. When I say I beat them, I mean when I race them up dunes.

Where did you find a 13t front sprocket for the 400ex?

I got my sprocket from a little shop at the sandlake dunes in oregon. That is the only place I know that has one. Try a 14/39 that is also good gearing. The way I see it the lower the gearing the better in the sand, for all the big dunes and drag races.
