Default Trx 90 Help please

Okay so I'm new here, I got a 2004 trx90 kinda basket case. It was running, now no spark. So it's pull start only, has no battery or anything. Key switch is rigged up poorly, I need to know how to bypass key switch that only has a green and a black wire, plus maybe test or bypass kill switch, and neutral safety switch. I wanna try these before replacing stuff like cdi and coil, etc. Def has no spark. Please help someone, my son wants to ride badly and I'm trying to look like the hero lol 😂

If the key switch just has two wires to it, you can bridge them together and check for a spark, if it doesn't, try with them disconnected, some CDIs work one way, some t'other. Same with the neutral switch, try with the wire to it earthed, try with the wire disconnected, if it doesn't start sparking one way or the other, the fault isn't with the neutral wire. Did you try a new plug, sometimes the obvious solution is the right one.

Okay thanks. So I found a wiring diagram, grounded the neutral switch, the kill and ignition are open circuits so I disconnected them, still have no spark, I ordered a cdi, and coil hopefully will solve it but I'm not sure, and the cdi was awful cheap on Amazon so hope it even works, I'm sure it's Chinese garbage but if I can get spark I'll order the oem one. Anything else I should know or do?

Don't worry about the cheap CDI, our supplier now sends Chinese and they seem to be OK. They did send some Taiwanese regulators last year that were rubbish. If the CDI doesn't fix things, check you are getting a voltage from the Exciter and trigger coils (AC) when you spin the engine over.

Okay so I got the new cdi and coil, and spark plug, still no spark. I'm lost. The new cdi has a light on it, when I pull start it's lighting like it has current but no spark from plug. Bad grounds? IDK what to do

Difficult to check on a pull start machine, but you need to find out if the CDI is pulsing a voltage to the coil. No idea what it should be, over 12v, but could be as high as 120v. It will probably be AC as well.
