Trx 300ex

Default Trx 300ex

Anyone out there know if i can put a 300ex motor onto a 400ex frame or do i need mods for it? I have a fully custom 400ex frame with aftermarket shocks and extended swing arm the full 9 yards but i need a motor someone help please

It won't be a direct bolt in, it would need custom motor mounts most likely.

Never done one. I figure it may be easier to find another 400 to drop in first. Heck, a whole running 400ex can be had for $1500.00 these days.

truee bit i already have a 300ex motor and wanted to use that for it to save money lol

Measure the 400 mounts then do the same for the 300 and see what has to be done to get it to work.

This isn't something we can tell you. Put the motor in the frame and align it up with the chain. Then make mounts to where the motor is.
