Parking Brake ?????????
#2
The parking brakes all of the sport models that have a rear disc brake rotor do not work. It does not make any difference what brand you buy. Yopu can adjust the thing to work and then ride around the parking lot and it will be out of adjustment. You can take a quad with a drum brake and they will work for years(almost). The best thing to do is to remove the parking brake and put on the block off plate. On the 400ex wire the two wires together and then you can start the quad in gear by pulling in the clutch. be carefull using the starter and not pulling in the clutch and having it in gear. It does work great at starts on hare scrambles.

I guest that I forgot to say that when you remove the parking parking brake most people also take off the stock clutch perch and lever and put on some try of after market clutch perch and lever that is not as big as the stock set-up.

Yep, that's the first thing I did. I yanked off the stock perch and installed a MSR raptor clutch lever/perch setup. I also threw on a White Bros block off plate. I haven't wired the leads together yet. I'm not sure where to tie them together. On the bars or down in the harness somewhere.

I'm speaking of the MSR(Malcomb Smith Racing) Raptor clutch perch/lever. It has nothing to do with Yamaha's raptor quad (although it would fit on one of those too). I still don't know where to tie the wiring together.
