Well sorry to report this, but a neighbor who let his 15 year old blast around on his suzuki quadrunner 500 has had to suffer a hard lesson, they watched him jump that 600 lb monster several feet in the air run full bore every where he rode it, all without any helmet or safety gear of any sort.

and now they are at the hospital praying over his broken craninum

I hate to hear that. It's awful this boy had to be injured so stupidly like he did. Things like this cause our sport to get a bad name. Some may say, "Well, my quad isn't as fast as that Quadzilla, so I don't need a helmet." Well, you can be hurt or killed on ANY size bike or quad. It doesn't matter what size. You should always wear safety gear. At least wear a HELMET! Also, ride within your abilities, and ride with some sense. I know of several times that a helmet has saved me or one of my riding buddies. Whatever you guys decide to do, just be careful, and help protect our sport.

My youngsters don't even ride their bikes without a helmet.
