Jetting a Recon
#1
Well I guess I should Start off by saying, what is the stock jet setting on the Recon? (I have no owners manual)
Ok now here is the question, I added a Uni air filter to my Recon should I rejet to account for the extra air flow????
1998 Honda Recon, Sur Tracks on ITP aluminum, Uni Air filter, Shockwears.
1986 Yamaha Moto-4 225, All stock (thats the way my dad likes it)

The stock Recon has a 95 main, but the largest in the Dynojet kit I got was a 92. The 92 works very good with my Uni and IDS 2. With the weather hopefully getting warmer I am going to get a 100 and try it just to make sure im not running too lean (the plug looks good though). The Uni is very similar to the stock design so I wouldn't think that rejetting just for the filter would be necessary. Jets are not too expensive though and they are easy to change so you might try a 97 if you could find one, places around here skip from 95 to 125.

The stock jet is 95. Remember that Dynojet sizes and Honda sizes are NOT the same.
When I bought a power kit from Highlifter, it came with more than a standard jet kit. If memory serves, it came with 88,92,96,100 and 104.
With 12 discs in the Supertrapp, and modified snorkle, I am using the 100. This after much testing and tuning.
