send your engine off to Curtis Sparks for a 505.
Laeger's 2+1 a-arms
Durable 2+2 Axle
Laeger's +3 swingarm
Axis Custom Shocks
Keihn FCR 42mm
Maier Orange Plastics
DG Nerfs
Duncan Racing Bumper
....
Then again, "How fast do you want to spend?"
You had better give us a price range
And just to let you know i can beat a stock banshee with just my DMC pipe and filter+plus jet.

ok then since price is no problem... go for a street bike/snowmobile engine that is computer generated to work for the quad.
wider a arms wider axel longer swing arm works tripple rate shocks with reservoirs

First off, If you ride mostly in the dunes, and you want to beat stock banshee's, my first suggestion would buy a banshee and ride the dunes and leave your 400ex for the mountains and such...

You can spend a lot of money on the 400ex and make it very fast and responsive and you will beat stock banshees all the time, then they put a pipe on and beat you.....

Now as you asked here is my suggestion for your 400ex....
416 cc
11:1 piston..
450/451 cam
39mm FCR carb..
DMC full exhaust, Or if noise is not a consideration go full race pipe. (do some checking on lrd, curtis sparks etc. etc..)
open air box with outerwear cover..
K&N air filter..
full race port...
Sand paddles, 20x10x8 9 paddle gliders or 21x12x8 9 paddle gliders. (gliders will give you more flotation and you will hook up nice. Haulers will rob too much HP and you will not be able to hold the higher rpm's on the hill in the sand..)
There are other things but this would be a very nice start...

Hope this helps....

There is no DS or Raptor that will beat a banshee in the desert or sand. If you are that confident then bring yours up to the dunes. I will show you...

Besides its always good to have some more riders to ride with and have a good time... Bring it on....

Any quad is good as long as the person who has it is riding and having a qreat time. Quit trying this "mines better than yours crap".....
