I recently bought a 2002 300EX. Today I started to replace the carrier bearings. Tore everything apart and put the new carrier in. Now when I put the axle their is a decent sized gap in between the sprocket and the carrier and between the mount for the disc brake. The splines on the disk holder are all the way in and still too much room. I’d like some advice on what could be the issue. I’m thinking it’s not a stock axle and it’s missing spacers or something. I can’t seem to find the width of the stock axle anywhere. But before I go buy a new axle can anyone think of any other issue that would cause this?
