recon brakes

How do i change the pads on the recons rear drum brake? I tried to do it today but all i accomplished was to slide over the axle.

I adjusted them and now they stay on full time i went way out in the woods and then they stuck on , i had to drive it home like that and when i got home tons of steam was coming out of the side of the case . Nothing works today !

To change the rear brakes, You first need to take the brake tensioner thingy off. Then take off the drum cover thing-a-ma-bob. By the way, take your wheel and hub off first. Anyways, after you take your drum cover off, just like pull outwards on the brakes. They should stretch the springs and pop right off. If not .. you gotta problem.

Sometimes the brake pads are liek new, but they dont work for some reason... it happened to my 300 4x4.
