Hello guys I'm new on here but I have a 1985 Honda 250sx three wheeler that has no spark. I have replaced the cdi box,coil,and the pickup coil with no results what so ever. Still no spark .. any help or ideas would be helpful

 

I have had a ton of experience with that engine. I have restored and still own several 250es's and sx's. I have the color code and testing specifications for using a multimeter to test your harness and components. I will have to find it, but if you have, and are familiar with a multi meter, I will locate it and send you the info. Sounds like you have already replaced all of the parts that could be causing your issue, have you taken the run switch on the handlebars, and the key switch out of the loop. I have had both give me issues in the past. By disconnecting them you should get spark if one of them is the culprit. You will just have to use the kick starter to turn the motor over and check. Let me know if I can help further, I also have tons of parts for that bike if needed.

 

I haven't tried unhooking either switch since replacing all of those parts. I will give it a go either tonight or in the morning. I'm also wondering if the stator could be cooked?? Thanks for the info

 

We'll I tried un plugging the ignition and the kill switch and still no spark at all.
