I have a 97 TRX400FW and It's been a good bike, up until know. Started making a rattling noise in the front end and notice it wasn't pulling at the front wheels. Please help, not sure what it could be.

Far more likely to be the front prop shaft splines gone. Lift the back end off the ground, engine off, in neutral, and spin a back wheel by hand, it shouldn't turn, as the front wheels should stop it, if it does, remove the cover from the front prop shaft and check how much of it is turning. If it all seems to be turning, it could be the spline into the diff, or the diff itself. If you can see a driveshaft inner CV turning, it is going to be that shaft splines or CV joint gone, never known that happen.
