2002 rancher 350 tire - rim sizes & lug pattern
02 rancher 350 FE
Stock tire sizes are 24*8*12 front and 24*9*11 rear. This rig will be be used for work around the property and maybe a ride down the local trail on occasion. Trying to save money and lots of tires turn up on Craigslist.
2 questions;
A. what height tires are acceptable without causing low end power issues? Can I use 26"?
B. What is the lug pattern? Does it match the 110mm Yamaha and or other manufacteurs?

26" is pushing it a bit both on clearance and altering the gearing, but you can probably get away with it. More important is rear wheel offset, this varies a lot, even the 1980s 350 is different to the 2000s one. Honda are about the only maker to use 11" rear rims, so unless you change both wheels and tyres, you are stuck with what tyres fit 11" rims. OD has to be the same back and front, and the 350 is unusually heavy on steering, so front tyre width doesn't want to be much over 9". Don't know about Yams, but we have used Eiger/King Quad wheels on the front of 350s. That red plug can be a problem, but don't remove it if you go through deep water, or you will get wet brakes that won't dry out.
