I think this kid is high hes making fun of his own quad!!He needs serious help!!!

 

the raptor and DS beat the 400ex in drag races only. so unless you do nothing but drag race then you bought the wrong quad. you should have researched more.

 

The only place a 400ex has the advantage is in TIGHT trails where is nimbleness can be used to an advantage. Open that trail up a couple feet(to real life situations) and your history.

Only thing i can say is dont go with Four Stroke Tech.I found out the hard way.Tot top it of he said my motor will put out about 45hp.Well its good power,but i know it doesnt have that much,just another lie i got from him.

 

You don't need a 500EX to win drag races, I have a 92 Quadracer 250, and I easily beat stock 400EX's but a friend of mine just got a 416 kit installed with pretty big cam(XR 400 Rec cam) and he walks away from me now, along with some of my other friends, one on a DS 650 with a pipe and a damn good rider. Its more in the breathing than the CC's, a bigger cam, higher compression piston, and porting, you will walk away from any Raptor or DS out there. One last thing though, I agree with one of the other replies, unless all you do is drag race, its not going to matter that much on a track, another friend of mine with a stock yellow 2001 EX will beat the other modified EX's on any track, any day.

 

A 400ex will beat a raptor on the hill. I proved this over the weekend at the valley of little sahara sand dunes. I wasn't impressed by the raptor or the ds650. They may have more top speed on the flats but on the hill they suck. For 250 more cc they don't stack up to the 400ex for weight and durability. I have not done any major mods to my 400 except a k&n, pipe,and cdi box. I am still under what either of those bikes costed stock. The guy had a real crappy look on his face when he did make it up the 700 foot hill about 5 seconds later. I'm tickled red!

I was just out at the St. Anthony dunes this weekend and I can personally attest that a 400EX can not beat a Raptor up hills. Quit the drugs, they are bad for you...
