The mods that fastrax has done would never allow a 400EX to beat a raptor anywhere except a tight woods course, those mods are placebo's, they give the illusion of speed(louder, higher revving) the stock EX cam dosn't build any power over 8500 rpm, what the hell good is an 11,000 red line. Next time tell the guy's on the DS's and Raptors to let go of there clutch levers after the start and it might be a better race. I am totally unbiased here I have a 92 quadracer 250, but I have raced everything, and seen everything race, you need to put at least a big cam in a 400EX or it is not any kind of a drag racer, the stock cam SUCKS.

 

There was a cannondale down there sunday that was impressive. That hill has to have a good rider that knows how to shift to win the race. My bike beat the raptor and its rider...maybe with a different rider and gearing (or another 100 feet) he would of had me. I'll be down on the eighteenth and will try another. I was surprised myself. I'd still not own a raptor in its present state to my 400ex. Cannondale is a different story.

 

FastTrax should lose with the mods he has.
