Default TRX 350 fourtrax is cranking but wont start

My 2002 Honda TRX 350 fourtrax is cranking but wont start. The sparkplug is working.

The only weird thing is that when I plug in the connector from the carburetor, the throttle cable and throttle box heat up. But disconnecting or leaving it on doesn’t make a difference to starting.

All fuses are ok.

Gas is flowing from the tank into the carburetor.

I’m at a loss

The earth wire on the carb heater must be shot and the heater is making earth through the throttle cable. I had this problem on a Mini car, earth cable had loosened from engine to frame and it was earthing through throttle cable. It heated the cable enough to make the outer melt and stick at high revs, so a bit dangerous. Change the plug anyway, it could just be a dud plug, and clean the carb out, as non starting is usually that if you are getting a spark. If it still won't start, check compression, should be over 90psi.
