I have a 2004 honda foreman 450s and I was trying to push start it which I recently got it and I put it in gear but the tires was freely spinning so I was wondering are the cluches bad or can you not push start a Honda Foreman 450s

 

Probably the one way clutch in the centre of the centrifugal clutch. This is supposed to take up the drive on the overrun. So you tend not to notice it has failed until you try a push start. The 300 kick start is after this clutch in the drivetrain, and you would find the kick start slipping when the one way clutch began to fail. I don't like push starting bikes for this reason, it puts a lot of strain on that clutch. There is the lawnmower style, pull start mechanism, why not use that?
