Warn makes a better product in my opinion, but I purchased the 1500 due to price. It has never left me stranded and has really never messed up except when I did something wrong. Just remember: ALWAYS respool the winch staight and tight!

I had a superwinch on my quadrunner, and it always ran out of power. I now have one on my 300 4x4, but only because I got it used off of a friend for $100, plus a plow. If I had the money, I would have a Warn. I think they are built better and have better switches, which i have on my Honda. I hate those rocker switches. I had two pop out because they got muddy.

I bought the Superwinch T-1500 for $109. The only trouble I've had was with 2 rocker switches. I changed over to the rotary switch by Superwinch and no more problems. I use it to lift/lower a snow plow and for occasional pulling. The stock battery got toasted when the rocker switches shorted repeatedly but no trouble with the replacement battery or rotary switch. Warn has a better product it seems but is quite pricey. Overall, I'd buy a Superwinch again, with a decent switch, that is.

I have a 2000lb superwinch on my H.O. and it seems to have plenty enough power. I have had no problems with the winch or the switch. But you know what they say "you get what you pay for".

I have the 25000 lbs Warn. I don't use it much, mostly to pull other people out on large group trail rides and such. Here is how I figured out what to by. The Warn was about $320 out the door. I have a HUGH relay, comes with a rollor fairlead, great remote control and a winch that has MORE then enough power. The way I use it I figure it should be around for the next 20 years, so that breaks down to what, about $16 a year. Plus I can always remount it on a different quad if I choose, so why buy the smaller one or bottom model then "wish" you had the nicer one for the next 20 years. (I did buy a superwinch 1500, looked it all over then decided it was just too light duty and returned it to get my Warn). It took me an extra month to get the extra money saved up but I think it was worth it.
Good luck and happy riding!!!
