Hey, I inherited a 99 recon 250 2wd from a passed friend and am trying to get it back to it's prime... But I can't figure out the taillight bulb shows 22268 on Dennis Kirk and numerous other pn#s for auto parts stores sylvanias, I've melted a harness before from bad bulb info does anyone know? I have sylvania 168's on hand their 14v,4.9w

 

Tail lights here in the UK were always 12v 5w until everything went LED. If there was a brake light as well, that was 21w, as were flashing indicator, rear fog light and reversing lamp bulbs. The LED replacements are supposed to be of similar brightness.

I have a feeling those Recon bulbs were an odd shape, tubular rather than globe. This could be the reason for the different part number.
