Well, to answer your question about the mud...

Yes, I have mudded ALOT in my 400EX. I would recommend getting some bigger tires for clearance. I am currently running 22" DirtDevils and I love them...really let the 400EX creep through thick mud.

About the creek crossings...I have crossed creeks that are around tire deep (some spots are tire and a half deep) and about 30-40 yards long with no problems. Thats one nice thing about the 400EX, it breaths in the air from UNDER the airfilter so all the water is not directly dumped onto the airfilter (Yamaha should learn how to correctly build an airbox that will not flood out the quad...ex Raptor).

One thing though, if you are doing alot of mudding and creek crossings, be sure to clean the quad very well and keep all the bearings and bushing lubricated.

Anymore questions, just ask...

Eric

You'll do good if you go with the 400ex!!!
I went from the 300ex to the 400ex...from having reverse to NOT having reverse and I don't miss it. I have learned to work around not having it and if need be, the machine is light enough to move by hand....I've done it before.
Good luck....
Later, Sher
