I've got Honda 300, and i've got 26x12x12 vamps and 25x9.5x12 vamps on it. When i first got them, they bogged the engine down like crazy in the really thick stuff. Finally i got a lift kit, a supertrapp pipe, jet kit, and k and n, and it just woke the quad up to it's true potential. Now it turns them fine, and i can go through just as much mud as a sportsman 500 with tires. But if your 300 is still stock i would go with one inch smalled than me on each end so you would still be able to pull them.

I bought my tires from National Tire and Wheel, because they had the best package deal. With new rims and tires, the total was around $560.

you may want to look at the 26" super swampers; they have a full 1" tread on them and they are a good bit lighter than the vamps and will be a little easier for you quad to turn. The cheapest place I've seen for them is http://www.4atvtires.com

if you plan on keeping the stock rims get 24 on the front and 25 on the back my brotherinlaw had this set up on his 99 and it pulled them very well in 1st.He also noticed a good power loss.
