Last night I was riding the 300ex.I was riding on our mx track. It ony has like 2 jumps on it so far.I was slowly in some spots then fast in others.I jumped a jump that U only get about 4 foot on and when I landed it really wasn't a loud noise but I knew what happened. The front end fell and I got off and looked at it.THe exact same place the other one broke. All te shock oil leaked out.SO I guess I have to do another 250r conversion.Or try and find some shock oi;l and weld it back up.

I can get one 300ex shock from a buddy, if he wants to sell it.

The 250r conversion would be sweet though.

When U do the conversion do U have to change the A-arms?I have stock 86 250r A-arms and shocks.I would rather keep the stock A-arms though.I don't need it top be wider.

I was in the process of welding and my dad pulled up.THe one day he gets home early!HE wasn't mad at all though. He ground of my crappy weld and did it nicely. He said he doubted it would work because all the seals and stuff getting hot.THen the oil starting leaking out.He finished it up.I put the shock back on and tried it out it bottoms really easily.SO something has to be done.

My dad is a sheetmetal worker. He has been doing for 25 years so he is good with metal fabrication. He can make the Upper shock towers.I would rather have a bolt in one though. He said he will look at it later.

moded out 86 trx250r

I just got back in.I used our plasma cutter and a drill to make a template out of some steel.I made a bolt in conversion. It kind of looks like a L only backwards and with another line on top.It works well.I am Kinda proud of my self.MY dad is going to get some thicker steel at work tommorow. He said it should work well.I jumped a little jump and it landed alot smoother.I didn't try to jump real hard because the metal isn't real thick.I only have one side done.

I will have some pics as soon I get the real thing done. Now if he would just let me shave the fenders and put some renthals on!And some new rear brake pads.
