It's not the most important element, but I was wondering around how fast would a stock '86 250R max out at?

Probably right around 75 mph.

I don't remember the exact speed. Dirt wheels did a test about 8 or 9 years ago, and it seems like that was the number they came up with. It's between 70 and 80, somewhere around there, anyway, with stock gearing, pipe and tires, etc.

65 maybe! My slightly modified 250R w/ stock gearing and stock size tires will barely hit 70. But it sure does get there quick!
