Forget about that big price advantage for buying a 400EX

Believe it or not, a local dealer was selling new (2001 model, I think) DS 650 for $5,600. They had ordered 10 of them and this was the last one left and they could not sell it. I thought seriously about buying it, but bought the 400ex instead. Here is why:
1. The DS is too wide. The Wayne National Forest has a 50 inch wide limit and it is enforced by having the bridges being just 50 inches wide. Thus, making the DS a tight fit.
2. I paid $5,300 for the ex, plus I got $300 in free accessories. Thus, I paid $5,000 for the ex.
Since I am truely enjoying my new ride and its my money, I am glad with my choice. Hope you are happy with all of your choices.
