The K&N power kit (stage 2) that I installed requires that I run without an airbox lid. I have the K&N prefilter. Is this dangerous, or is the precharger waterproof?
Are most of you guys running without the lid, because any real mods seem to require the extra airflow?

I have 2 440Ex's that I run with out airbox lids. Infact I even drilled a bunch of holes in the box itself. No the precharger is not water proof but it is kind of water resistant. Last year I took one of the quads through this huge puddle where the water came all the way up to my knee's. A little bit of water definately got it the box but I had no prblems at all. Good luck and trash the lid, you dont need it!
