My friend has the e-series on his 400ex and it is much louder than stock but he says it is worth it. Well I am decideing between the DMC and the Big Gun for my 400ex.

They are all much louder than stock but their performance isn't that much greater. Sometimes I think it's like when we were kids and clothespinned cards onto our bicycle forks. A lot of fun noise but not much else.

I really like the comparison Trailmax, but I have the Big gun on my 2001 with a Dyno Jet kit and it seems to have a lot more low end in the sand anyway.

The WB E-Series is louder than stock, but my neighbors haven't complained yet. I've heard a lot louder, more obnoxious pipes, but, unless you plan on doing some engine mods, I wouldnt bother getting ANY aftermarket pipe...the 400EX just doesnt make squat for additional power with just a pipe and jet-kit/aitbox mods.

It's loud, but not too bad.

You don't need the full exhaust. Big Gun slip on will smoke an E series. Thats from experience, not from what I read or heard! Unfortunatly I had the E series on my wifes 400 and got rid of that when I felt how much crisper and harder pulling the Big Gun was. No regrets.

white bro is louder than stock, if it is too loud they have a quiet core insert. I dont find it too loud, it has a nice deep throaty sound. however if it is too quiet for you, take the end cap off and run it straight open. Dont waste your money on a jet kit, just buy a few jets and take the time, have patience and you will get great results. Most people who dont get good power with a good pipe just never had someone teach them how to rejet their motor.

the big gun is made to produce more torque, but the e series was designed for all around including top end. i have heard of people getting beat by big guns until they add 6 extra disks(18 total) the extra disks makes more room on the end and has more horse power.
