I'm looking into getting some AC pro pegs for my 250R and was wondering about the pro pegs......are the footpegs in the same spot as the stock pegs? or are they moved?

I've heard that they are moved back and down some. If so, how do you reach the shifter lever and brake lever or do you have to replace the levers or bend them? Whats the deal?

I am not sure about the 86/87 version, but I can tell you about the 88/89 version. The AC Pro Peg is advertised as 1" back and 1" lower. When I installed mine the new footpegs seemed even farther back. So I measured the new location and the footpegs sit 2" back and about 1" lower than the stock pegs. This required me to shorten my shift lever by 1 1/2" for it to feel comfortable to me. I left the brake lever stock for now and am starting to get used to sliding my foot forward to hit the rear brake. I am not sure what everyone else does with the shifter/brake lever. Since the footpeg mounting is one difference between 86/87 250R's and 88/89 this issue with the nerfs on your 87 may not be the same.

Yes, I belong to the Sandusky Valley Riders MX track. I ride there about once every week or two. I do most of my racing at Milan Michigan which runs every Friday night. I have only been to Amherst once a few years ago but would like to check out some of their quad only races this year. Have you seen the track yet at Sandusky Speedway? Just wondering what type of track it is and if it will be good for quads or not.

I try to ride at the SVR track in Tiffin on Wednesday's. If you want send me an e-mail when you are going to be there, it would be cool to have another quad to ride with.
