Yesterday I was in some extremely tight woods and hit my left front wheel on a tree...almost rode up the tree. Anyway, now it's harder to steer and there's a squeek near the handle bars...I think the top of the steering stem. I've tried WD-40, and it's still squeeking. Visibly everything loks fine..the a-arms are straight. If I crank the wheels to one side it seems to want to go back to the center by its self. Anyone?? Help?

It sounds like the rubber top bushing on the steering stem. Mine was doing the same thing. The handlebars got hard to turn and it sqeaked like a raped pig! It seems the factory doesn't put any lube on it at all. I actually had worn a groove in my stem from riding it dry. I took it apart and slathered grease all over it and now it's nice and quiet. It even turns much easier.

I don't think you hitting the tree had anything to do with the suqeak, espcially if everything is straight. It was probably just a coincidence.

Thanks, is it just that clamp I need to take off?? Or do I need to take off the bars and start from the top??

Take your front plastic off. Remove the 2 bolts/clamp holding the top bushing. The bushing itself is split so you can pull it off without having to remove the entire stem and bars. Grease it up put it back together and enjoy the ride!

you might of bent your stem. I bent mine and it started squeaking right away because the stem was in the top bushing uneven.
