Now everyone seems to be more civil and logical. I said that I love my 86 LT250 and that I like it better than my brothers quad, as well as my friend who also has a mildly tricked 86Honda 250r. I accept the fact that Hondas have more potential, mainly because more parts are offered for Hondas, but I agree with the guy who mentioned that Suzukis are reliable. As I said mine is stock. Nothing on the motor has been changed. I have only added a pipe and the quad still runs good, but it is losing a little steam so it needs to be freshened up. Im sure that the 87 and up LTs are better, but I am too loyal to mine since it has never failed me. Plus All the girls I know like to ride it better because it is so friendly to ride. So dont get me wrong, I never said Hondas Suck, at one time i really wanted one, but I got a Lt250 and never turned back, even after my brother got one, I rode his a lot but just didnt like it. It is all about preference. Mainly I just like how I sit on the Suzuki. Oh, and Dill. I would like to take you up on your offer, but I already have plans for Pismo beach in a couple weeks then the quad is getting torn down and "restored".
One nice thing about 85/86 Suzuki LT's are that I make money off them. I have bought 3 for about $1100 each and have sold them for around $1700. I have one for sale now. Actually it has the best of both worlds for some guys. It is an 85 Suzuki frame, with an 83 Honda 250r engine and swing arm. Anyone Interested?

evhwg thats not the only reason i buy a quad. but thats the main reason i wanted to spend more money on the R. if it was ugly i'd just stick with a quadracer thats just as fast (if not faster which i say it is) and i can get for less money. i know the QR doesn't handle as good but it doesn't make that big of a difference to me. i guess i just know how to control the QR and make it handle how i want it to. oh yeah and i'm 16 by the way.

Hey SlackerBob! I am going to Glamis during the Halloween timeframe. We stay in the flats and I would be more than pleased to run you up Olds, Comp, or out at Gecko. Then you can post the results here for everybody to see.

Hey juggalo, if lt250's are so good, how come every racer isn't riding one?

You're only 16, how in the heck do you think you can come on the forum and talk about bikes that people like CP and myself have been riding since your were in Kindergarden? This cracks me up. Do you have a Power Ranger's sticker on your Plastic too??

Seems to me you look at things through yellow & blue glasses. And what are you smoking, saying ltr's always win the shoot-outs in tht atv mags? Maybe you could sell me some of that dope you're on.

As far as you saying I'm retarded, because I probably never owned a suzuki, well I owned an 87'lt500r. And my last trip out to Silver Lake I won almost every drag race with it, Banshees, lt250's, other 500's, whatever. Only did I lose when an 88 Honda 250r showed up and made us all see what fast was.

Also CP used to have an 85 lt250 that I spent alot of time on. It was fast and the motor ran great, but it will never handle like a Honda.

But I commend you on staying faithfull to yellow and blue, god knows someone has to keep buying parts for those machines and keep suzuki in business.

Hey Ridzhard
Is your quad all tricked or what? Because As I mentioned Stock to stock I am competitive, but if you have a ton of money in your quad then There is no point. What do you got? I am shooting for a Holloween trip. Im usually between wash 10 and 15

JS660r, you know what? f*ck you. you think your so much better than me because i'm young? how would you even know? you don't know me. and were have i ever said the suzuki handles better (or even as good) as the honda? nowhere. and as far as always buying parts the only things i have needed to buy for it other han gas or oil are a kick start (i didn't tighten the bolt that holds it in enough), a new brake lever (my friend snappend it when he rolled it), and thats it. never had to rebuild it or anything. i would ride it everyday and i'd ride it hard. its been launched in the air, rolled over multiple times, crashed into, and ran wide open for long periods of time. i like 250R's, hell i love em, their my fave bike but obviousley you people don't understand what i'm trying to say so here it is in simple english: LT's are great bikes and i don't appreciate people bashing them because there not as bad as you say they are. got the point?

Tisk,tisk,tisk.....

Don't be so touchy Juggalo, don't forget that you are the one who said I'm retarded, that I probably never ridden a lt250. Who are you? You don't know me.....

You assumed things about me first, now run along. I think I hear your mother calling, probably time to do your chores. Oh, and by the way, F_CK YOU back....you little punk!

Do you believe this **** CP?

Yeah Cp ya hear this?.....god. JS you are the moron who said your 300EX was comparably fast to an 85 LT250R.Someones age is not a fault, I have been coming here for a while and Juggalo is an informed gentlemen, hes not the one going around making ridiculous claims about how some little 300EX was comparable to a 250.I have absolutly no ties to any specific brand or machine, I honestly critique a machine for what it is and my 86 LT250R is a fast machine. Handling wise I have only ridden it on a small MX track so far and it has handled well.On stock suspension I have jumped it 15 feet to flat ground and it has not bottomed, it has also brought me some hard work in the hot sun from destroying our berm, repeatedly.JS, don't get pissy because you spent 7 grand on a machine that isn't as fast as a 10 year old one.
