I always love mud. I am probably the only one in here who enjoys cleaning his quads after a long day in the mud. There's just something tranquill about hosing down the quads for 1 1/2 hours...

What I hate is mud on my goggles...no matter how often you clean them the mud just gets right back on! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]

 

What's mud????? It is 101 degrees today and not a cloud in site. All the lawms are burning up. Trade for a while.

Ouch...101 degrees that is pretty hot. I guess an absence of water would not be preferable...so I think i am gonna suck it up and buy some snorkel gear (for myself[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img])and go RIDE!

 

bnt5, We are at 2850' elevation and 40 miles away we can be at 8000'. It doesn't take to much to be in some cooler areas. The problem we are having now in the Government turning everything into wildeness, which means no access. Clinton did a real number on us the last few years.

 

101 degreess??? That is HOT???? Down here in Southern Arizona that is a Novelty around this time of the year. When I go riding, I start it up around 6 AM and it is 75 degrees. Aournd 10 AM it is about 90 degrees. And by 2 or 3 it is in the 110s. It is not that bad once you get used to it. Just you have to have a LOT of water on hand. I even have a special water tank on my back rack so I don't have to stop to get a drink.
I have not seen mud since January. It snowed around five inches during school so we got a snow day! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] It was around 35 degrees around 10 AM. Then at around 12 it suddenly raised up to about 60 degrees and needless to say the snow was gone in about an hour and we had the sloppiest mud I have ever seen. It took me about a two hours of scraping with a paint scraper to get most of the mud off and about a month after that I still saw mud fall off.

I don't like cleaning all the mud either,but the real dusty days are no fun.You can not see unless you are leading the pack,so I would rather have mud than dust!

 

I would have to say the perfect day to ride is after damp morning where the dust is just damp enough to leave tracks but not raise up. By the way for those dusty days, a full face mask helmet is the only way to fly

I have been riding for about three months now but so far I haven't got tired of the mud and i probably never will.

 

It is raining all weekend here and the mud is sooo deep on trails, the rain was so heavy at times, I could watch it create washouts, and then turn them into waterfalls...LOL[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

I think I want to get Bearclaws for my 200SX, I hope they make a size to fit my ATV.

 

ATV man, Just got some bearclaws for my trx300 4x4 but haven't had a chance to put them on. Looked all over and found a dealer in southern utah that mail orders. Paid $49. each . By the way todays temperature was 103 degrees in the shade.
