1. I have a Lone star axle I installed it with out greaseing it, some people tell me I should have grease it and some people tell me it rides on the bushing that rides on the bearings that are already greased. Those of you that have installed axles, did you grease them? If not did the bearings and seals wear out?

2. My axle nuts seem to have a hard time staying tight I stood on the wrench but they still come apart, so finally I had to use red lock tight is this normal?

3. There is about a 16th of an inch of play (slop) between the splines on my axle and the splines on my sproket hub, both are brand new, hub came on the axle. If I put my bike in gear and roll it foward until the tranny stops it, I can push on a rear wheel and the axle will move foward about a 16th even those the chain doesn't. Lonestar says some play is normal. Are they nuts??

Sorry so long....

Goahead and grease it it wont hurt anything. You may have cause premature wear and that is the reason for play. How does the +4 axle help?
