My 99 400ex has been leaking gas out of the carb drain tube. I know it will do this if you stand it up but should it during normal operation? The drain screw is closed. any one have simular problem? any sugestions will be appreciated. thanks

Is this with the quad sitting, not cranked, with the gas turned on? If so, I had the same problem. I was worried when I first noticed this, but I cranked my 400 up and rode around a little bit. The drainage quit. I don't think that it's nothing to worry about. Hope I helped.

It does not leak when it is sitting, only when running, I put one of those dyno jet kits on it a month ago, maybe it is causing it to leak, I hate to take it of because it gives great response. Anyone else have a dyno jet kit on there 400? can you just plug the hose or does it have to be open to breath. any suggestions would help , thanks
