AP-type limited slip

What does "AP" stand for? All Purpose maybe?
The new Honda FourTrax Rancher article uses this "descriptor" describing the limited slip front axle. Is it the same as the clutch-pak unit they are currently using?

Muddn, I dont think its the same as what they are using now. I have read somewhere (I should keep track of it) that it will not allow freewheeling like a limited slip differential. I would imaging it will lock up somehow when it senses that one wheel is slipping, sort of like Polaris, but not electronic.

God I hope it isnt like the "detroit style" locker that they put in the new 96+ chev trucks.. the thing locks in so hard it makes a loud clank and shakes the entire truck, then sends me sideways...I hope they use the Shim style limited slip, doesnt enguage at all until one wheel breaks loose.

Does AP stand for Advanced Placement? Applied Physics?
A British company called AP Racing makes brakes and clutches for the trade; could Honda's new differential be a clutch-pack type?
Honda will have to unlock this secret; my net search engine and I are both exhausted.
Could it be a viscous limited-slip differential? Does Moss International's torque-sensing, progressively-biasing differential figure into the equation? How about the AP Racing "Sure-Trac" differential used in the MGF Cup races? Or could it be . . .
