Can someone tell me where I can find a rear rack extension for my recon? Besides highlifter. I think that price is way to high..or all the prices for rear rack extensions like that?

When I am not riding my Recon with the 400 and 300 EXs, I am usally riding her in the mountains climbing hills with my camping gear on the back. Anyway, I have a custom rear rack that I made in welding shop. I copied the design from a catalog I saw. It is a basket which drops the bottom is about a foot below the rack and it extends about a foot and a half. It connects to the front of the rear rack with simple clamps. Plus you still have your rear rack for cargo too. So far it has not let me down and it holds great. If you have the time I could give you more details on how to make one or you could try to find the real thing in the 2000 Dennis Kirk or at the website. It might be in the 2001 but I have not looked through that one yet.

Well if you can't weld I would check out the Dennis Kirk. I think it said something about fitting all Honda utility quads. I was going to get it but I thought I could make one myself plus I can get a good grade in shop class
