You might check with CT racing. Theres also FST, but lots of people in here have had bad luck with them.

Call Fischer's Cycle in Ashtabula Ohio (440) 997-4166. Talk to Shane there.

These guys are doing lots of the 465cc kits, and are good at what they do. Just be aware that the 465 breaks rods, often. It's nothing against the guys who build them, it's just the nature of the beast.

Fischer's will have a stronger rod available soon for the kit, but it's not fully tested yet. We're hoping it solves the problems!

XRsonly.com has the Carillo rod for the 400EX/XR. It is the same rod that Sparks uses in their engines. I dont see why you couldnt get the rod and have someone else press it in your crank. I dont know where else to get the cam chain, but maybe Sparks will sell you one. Big bores are tougn on engines. Make sure whoever does it uses HD parts wherever available, and that they really know what they are doing. Look on GT Thunders website in their news section they have a dyno report on an FDO 473EX. It also has a phone number for them.

Got just the place for ya bro. Pro Fab ATV, they do an awesome job on 400ex's. The price might be a little high but they do the job right.

No matter what they say at XR's Only, the XR rod is different from the EX!! The width at the big end is different, and we have seen very bad things come from people using the XR rod without understanding its differences.

The rod can be used, but it's not a bolt-on proposition.

You have to acquire side shims, then remove material from the TRX crank halves to install the XR rod.

Also, with the Carillo rod, you will need to remove material from a few gears. This is not a good thing if you want a reliable engine.

Yes, they'll do your complete engine. They purchase components from Powroll and TC.

The rod will come from an outside source. There's a few irons in the fire currently, there's lots of testing going on, and may the best rod win!
