Best Trails
#2
I don't know of any trails in IOWA, but I think some of the best trails in the U.S. are in Colorado. You can go to www.funtreks.com, the author Chuck Wells has written two really good books that describe lots of trails in the Rockies. I go on the trails there every few weeks, they are awesome.

I don't go to many places, because there are alot of trails around my house. The best place I've been to is Brown Moutain, NC. It is packed every weekend. Its very nice and they trails are always in good condition except when it gets close to the end of the season. Someone, I figure a park ranger of someone like that, comes and grooms them twice a year. Once before Easter and I'm not sure of the other time. I go on easter every year. I leave the wednesday before easter, and stay till saturday afternoon. The other people that go with me camp out...as well as myself. We had the mountain to ourselves till friday afternoon. Saturday...best get their early if you wan somewhere to park. They were lined up and down the road last easter, and the year before, and the year before, etc. I'm going to the Hatfield McCoy system sometime. Its in West Virgina...I think. But not sure. I've heard its sweet...so I'm gonna check it out when my dad feels like going.
