The Warrior does not have 25 HP, check out some dyno runs on some other pages and you will see that it has 17-20HP, and i wish my 400ex had 30HP stock, it has 25-27 stock. The fastest a 400ex will go stock is 65-68, i rode beside my brother who has a Honda 650xl on a long flat dirtroad and we were in the upper 60's. The warrior tops out at 58, maybe 60. My friend has a Warrior, i think the magazines are pretty acurate on the top speeds and Hp stats they listed for these quads. A Raptor tops out a 70-73 so there is no way a 400ex tops that.

Bansheeboy, you're comparing flywheel horsepower to rear-wheel horsepower. I have no doubt in my mind that the Warrior only makes 17 RWHP, likewise that a 400EX makes less than 30 RWHP.

Also, why would a company want a magazine to publish a top speed LOWER than what the machine will actually do?! I'm sorry, but that's just plain stupid!

so they dont ban hi-performance quads again, because if they found out that a Raptor went over 80mph and people were getting hurt on them, there would be another law suit, just like the one about the 250R...

I rode a Warrior for years and now I ride a 400EX. If the Warrior had been a better bike, believe me I would have kept it!

<< first off a warrior has more than 17hp!!! more like 25hp while the 400ex has about 30hp. as far as top speeds go, the warrior goes 65mph(i know this for a fact) and the 400EX hits about 75mph. dont listen to anything magazines say, they say what ever the companies want them to say as long as they give them the money! and they lie about top-speeds also, they say a Warrior goes only 56mph, while i clocked my friends cousin down the road on his Warrior and he hit 65mph!! thats a 9mph diffrence!!! And did you notice that everybody that replied to your topic is a 400ex owner? >>

I would double check those speeds I have a 400ex and had a warrior. No way the 400 can do 75. No way at all. The warrior might hit 60-65 going down hill (in a truck)

No really...Not stirring things up.. Those figures are just a bit off. How fast does that banshee go Got to be 100 at least.
