Really...How bad are wheelies for your bike??

Yeah, listen to MXfullboreBlister. I learned how to ride a dirtbike on a CR250. Guess what, I am a speed freak now and I am an awesome rider. even if you get the 300 that is still beter but you will want to trade it in for the 400 in a couple weeks if you are like me. How old are you. I am not lying when I say that the first quad I ever rode was a 250R, when I was three. I couldn't shift or anything but I could steer it.

I would have to agree with bermbanger about MXFullBoreBlister and I would like to ad that what you said "Getting something smaller would just decrease the fun level" is a bunch of BS some people cant handlea 400ex and never will be able too . And if you have a quad that is too big 4 you then you will be scared of it and you wont be able to push it to its limits and have all the fun you would be able to on a smaller quad . thats my opinion and if you dont like it go suck an egg

2001250EXRider, I'm not really familiar with the 250ex, but I doubt that wheelies will do any serious damage. You'll want to learn to do "smoother" wheelies just for the sake of enjoyment, though. Nobody likes standing it straight up, then crashing to the ground without even moving a few feet forward. You'll get the feel for it as you learn.

That was the first quad I ever rode, somebody was on it with me but I was doing the throttle and steering. That is the truth

I live in between redmond and Bend and there is some BLM back behind my house. I also ride with everyone who lives around me because the within about a 1 mile radius there are about 10 people who ride. Do oyu know anyone with a quad for sale? Where do you ride? Oh yeah, I go out to China Hat and alfalfa sometimes. I think alfalfa sucks though. Do you know of any places to race since the track in Madras is closed now? I don't want to go to Albany and race, it's too far

Madras will re-open early this fall. Maybe at a new location, maybe the old one.

Do you belong to a club? Someone who's been er..."riding".... 250R's since they were three years old should be a part of a club and pass some of your knowledge along to the rest of us!

You must be faster than me, I just started riding when I was 24. Of course, if I follow your rules, I did drive a car when I was 5 or 6. I sat in my dads lap and steered.

I was just saying that that was the first quad I rode. The first quad I actually owned was a honda 125. Now I have a Mojave but I want a 2-stroke. I am not bragging about if I am better than other people, but I'm better than most people I know. So, when can we find out when Madras is reopening? My neighbor and a friend of mine both told me it wouldn't reopen. Do you know anyone with a quad for sale though?
