I was going to buy a 250ex, but they are $8,500 in australia and I can't justify that for a 230cc un-adjustable shaft drive begginers quad. I AM A BEGINER TO RACING QUADS,NOT QUAD RIDING, I have had a trx300fw for about three years. Am I going to kill myself??? Or are the 400's sensible. Anything helps cause These are really out of my price range but I hate 300ex's. To you american people I think I am 6" and 130 pounds???(60kgs) and 15 years old.

man, you must be really skinney!!! i'm 6'1" and weighed 140lbs. for wrestling season in the winter winter, but now i'm up to about 147 lbs.

a 400ex would SCREAM with you on it cause you're so light!!!

it's not really a beginer's bike, but you sound like you should be ok on one. just make sure that you get used to riding it around and get a feel for it before you take it on any runs or long rides on new trails.

that's all you need is to get a feel for the bike, and know the limits of you and the machine and you'll be in great shape

personally, i'd go with the 400EX if i were you. you'll be glad you did in about a year or two!

well heres my story... i am 5'9" and weigh around 145lbs... i bought a 400EX about 1 year ago and when i got it i rode it careful and got used to it... i grew up riding a Honda 200SX which could tip backward kinda easy, so i kinda got use to being a careful rider, i found the 400EX the perfect machine for me and i use it to do alot of riding in flat areas and in coulees... my advise u like it, get it but becareful and dont go out and kill yourself untill u know the limits of the machine and yourself

Firstly, I found a weight converter and I weigh 141 pounds. (hate being called skinny)and I just don't like the look of 300ex's, nothing personal, just the healight. And If I'm gonna go all the way I'm getting the biggest
because my dad is 6" 6 and 280 pounds!!! so I am gonna grow pretty big.
