I need opinion telling me if i should keep the recon for a couple months then buy a 3200.00 250r with hardly no mods taking the chances that it has a cracked frame or needs a rebuild or i could keep the recon for awhile and put some more mods on it (shocks) to improve it abit. I Know a fully modified recon won't compair to an R or 400ex or anything like that but its cool to have a machine thats different!!!!

I see what u mean about wanting to be diff. but i mean the 250r has more power. You can really have a bad 250r if u fix it up and build it bad so i think u should sell. You will still have a honda but u need something fast to keep up with every one else u know.

hey thanks for your opinion. I really want an R but my moms worrying about me getting hurt, my dad says he doesn't want to hear a chainsaw, and i really don't want a piece of crap. If anyone know what years or models or whatever out of the 250rs which have the light mounted in the plastic not on the handlebars. the one in the plasic i like better. Thanks

my 86 had the head lights on the handlebars, but we took them off and mounted little lights on the frame right below the front fender and now it looks sweet.

The 86's and 87's had the lights on the handlebars. The 88's and 89's were in the nose.
