Does anybody know if your odometer and hour meter reset to zero when you disconnect the battery from the computer,, because I took my battery off to install my winch and i was wondering if it will clear my data.

Thanks

I think that it will clear all of your data. I know someone with a rancher. He had to disconnect his to get to something on the fourwheeler. It erased his mileage

Honda is using the same type of system as alot of newer cars and trucks with electronic odometer. you can remove the battery but the odometer still has its memory.
As the vehicle or Quad runs, the miles are being burned or etched into
a chip which dosen't loose its memory. Unless you short it out :-)

Just remember a couple things, never charge battery on quad with it still hooked up and never boost them. Use the pull cord to start if batt is down. If you follow these instructions you never have problems. If you don't it will cause the lithium battery to fail and there goes your speedo memory.
