I have a 00' 300ex. I was riding today and decided to get a little dirty, errr well a lot dirty. Anyway, it seems like everytime I went through a large mud/water puddle the engine wanted to stall. It didn't want to stall while going through the puddle, but about 5-20 seconds after it. This would last up to a minute sometimes. It even stalled a couple times. I would try giving it more gas but it wouldn't take it. I think this is pretty normal but my question is the best way to deal with/prevent it. Should I keep revving the engine? Should I just let it idle? Shut it off? Is there anything I can do to the bike itself? thanks

If you read the post further down in the "Honda atv's" titled "400EX water problems.. charging into water", this will answer some of your questions.
I myself also own a "00" 300EX. I love it and yes I also have the same problem with charging into water and engine stalling. All EX's, 300 and 400 have this problem.
