I just got my August issue of 4 wheel ATV Action. In it is a shootout with a 400EX and a Cannondale. On the spec sheet on page 59 it lists the 400Ex as having liquid cooling and reverse. Is there a rag out there that actually knows what it is talking about? Are these guys who write these columns really riders?, or just lame journalists? That is pretty lame making a mistake like that on such a popular quad.

It's probably becuase the person writing up the charts doesn't ride quads or know anything about them they just type.

Good eye...I noticed that too...I'm sure its a typo.

Funny though, that reminds me of about a year ago, when Dirt Wheels ran an add for Honda, and if you looked VERY CLOSELY, could see that the name of the 400EX and 300EX was changed from FourTrax to SporTrax on the seats....this add ran 2 months BEFORE the news was reported of the name change. Did any of you eagle-eyes catch that?

I'm still wondering if Honda did this to differentiate the 250, 300 and 400EX's as TRAIL/SPORT quads, as opposed to full-onrace quads. The question now, is did they do this to position themselves to release a race quad lineup (similar to the XR/CR motocross lines), or did they do it to let everyone know that they are OUT of of the HIGH-PERFORMANCE ATV market?

Hmmm....time will tell. Even if they come out with a 650cc quad, will it be a SPORTrax (trail/Sport) 650EX (totally detuned like the 400EX)? Or will it be a FOURTrax 650R ... and/or a FOURTrax 450R.

I'm hoping/praying for the R's !!!
