Honda vs. Polaris

Quad Man,
I don't get your point. How can you not call it a high performance quad?
What other kind of stock machine can you buy that will beat it in the trails?
A Banshee won't beat it. Warrior? Nope. Lakota? Nope.
I call the Banshee a High Performance machine because it rips. You cant beat it in the sand.
What is a high performance machine to you?

Quadman,
Are you sure your Scrambler 500 won't beat a 400EX? Mine will and all I have is a pipe & airbox/filter and my Scrambler is a 400 which stock a tad slower than yours. The 400EX is high performance, but it is not innovative.

WOW,MR Moderator must be bored.Does ANYBODY see ANYONE turning this into a chat room argument or an attack on ANYBODY'S quad?I've read it over twice, and I only see polite opionions in here. When opionions are polite, nobody gets hurt.I've not read an attack on anyones quad either.Did I miss something?

You make a good point, atvbbs.
The initiator simply asked for the pros and the cons of the two brands, Honda and Polaris.
Some very responsive posts appeared, clearly comparing and contrasting Honda and Polaris. These posts dealt with facts, reflecting the posters' own personal observations and experiences, along with some thoughtful analyses of the differences between the two makes of ATV's, as well as some opinions identified as such.
Semantic arguments about arbitrary labels, such as, which one is "high-performance," which is more "innovative," are seldom productive or conclusive, because the definitions of these terms are subjective (opinion, not fact); everyone has his own criteria. Further, the question, "Compared to what?" is seldom asked and even more seldom answered.
As to which one would "whup" the other, well . . . I don't think the initiator asked that question.
Summarizing, I think some good posts appear on this topic, I look forward to reading some more.
