I created a post a while ago about 400ex vs cr 125 because my brother said they were dangerous. I tried and I tried to block out the 400ex. I told my self, get a cheap cr and get a car (in 17 months). But in the back of my mind there was a little person with red wings not letting me forget about the 400. I am going to have to get finance for this because they are $10,000. I need a car in 17 months. I will put down a 3 grand deposit, but is it really worth my while when I will ride it once every 2 weeks. I need your advice, I need this bike,

And why are they so expensive?.

Sam

because that is what the american public is prepared to pay in the US (converted back to aussie $)

so why would honda sell one to another person when they know a american will pay that sort of $ (heard of opportunity cost?)

.....its different everywhere ya go

in the states you earn more per hour....but it costs you more to live (in aussie $)

ya reckon ya hard done by

......NZD is worth 41 cents USD!.....

the new 650kawie = $20k

400ex is $15k

and all the 300ex have sold in the country!!!.....

a dura blue axle for a rapter is $1000NZD here
........410 USD?

minimum adult wage is $8.50hour

and 80% of the samoans living in auckland NZ early less than $20k a year

sooooo.........welcome to the club!.....

this is why i own trikes.....i can get performance cheaper.........cause know one likes em here

my 350x cost $3000NZd = about $1500USD?

PLUS ya looking at buying when ya exchange rate is low in relation to the USD.....bugger!

buy a ford falcon or commodore......and burn some gas.......

atv's won't get any cheaper

go buy a chinese bike to ride..........or a postie bike

get a bike later

later man

take care

$10,000???? What are you smoking??? I can't remember the exact price but it is in the high 5 grand or low 6 grand varying from where you live. But wherever you heard that price they saw you coming from a mile away!

RedReconRider has obviously never been out of the USA. That is such a bummer that you guys are getting raked.

It happens, RedReconRider. Man, at those prices with those wages, you have to be really serious about riding.

Aussies: I am curious as to the price of gas and replacement parts. Do you have a relative feel as to what you pay vs. what we pay here in the U.S.?
