I am toying with the idea of swapping the motor from my 350X into my 300ex. I am aware that there are kits available to do this. Not the problem.

My question is, will the 300ex motor fit in the 350x frame. I think the problem will lie in the exhaust header location. The frame downtube is centally located. the 350x motor has two exhast ports, allowing the header to wrap around the tube.

Will the head from a XR250 fit on the 300ex motor with little or no modification? This will give me twin exhaust ports, hopefully allowing the use of the original 350x's exhaust headers.

I don't think the xr250 head will fit. I wish it would tho, then I'd do the same.

 

im not shure it will fight ether that is a good thought i wish to get a biger motor in my 300ex.
